We are heading to the diy store at the weekend to look at stone fireplace mantels with my mother in law as she has decided she loves ours so much that she wants one as well – I don’t really want to have to go with her to be honest because she’s a difficult woman, she’s very indecisive so I know that something that would take most people about an hour to do is going to take us the entire afternoon. But she will be cooking a Sunday roast dinner for us to eat afterwards so it’s worth it – she makes the best roast dinner ever!

I was just on marbleunique.com looking at some ideas for her fireplace mantal and they sell loads of really gorgeous looking products – their range of fountains has made me want one for our garden. Unfortunately it’s really small and it’s already pretty jam packed so I don’t think we’d have any room for one – and it might look a little silly even if we did find room for one as it doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the house, I think the neighbours would think we were being a bit show offish hehe
