My husband came home a few days ago and announced that we are throwing a dinner party! He didn’t ask, he told, which was kind of annoying – but I am excited about it as it will be our first one. I am going to have to go out and buy stylish square dinnerware and extra cutlery though.

See he thinks that because he’ll be the one doing the cooking that he didn’t need to ask me and all I have to do is sit there and look pretty – but he hasn’t taken into account I will want to make sure that the house looks nice and stylish. Although we finished redecorating a month or so ago now it is still not really ‘people ready’ as there are a lot of finishing touches still needed and of course there’s the fact that we only have two of most things as we have lived just the two of us for several years.

I have just been looking on corelle.com and they definitely have some sets that are right up my street, I really want the square ones and I also like floral but funky designs – big bold colors on a dark background.

Better get saving up
