My niece just came round and all excitedly told us she’s going to take violin lessons, how very posh

She’s been wanting to do it for a while, either that or piano lessons, but her mom thought it was just a passing fancy like most things with my niece so she kept telling her “maybe”. Well looks like maybe became yes a few days ago and she asked my niece to choose one or the other – she chose violin because she will be able to practice at home as well as most places allow them to borrow violins some times. Obviously that isn’t possible with pianos!

So it definitely sounds like she’s serious about it if she’s based her decision on getting extra practice time

I just did a little searching around for them, because as you guys know by now I am the dedicated Internet searcher in our family, and found The Academy of Music Performance. It’s a private lesson studio and school of music specializing in the Violin and Viola and sounds absolutely perfect for her needs. I will be passing on the link when I go round there for my dinner tonight. I hope that she’ll be able to get in
