I had a letter from my bank a few days ago informing me that because I now deposit more than $x per month they are going to upgrade my account – I already find this annoying because I like my account the way it is, if I wanted a different account then I would change it myself. But what annoyed me even more was that the bottom of the letter also says that if I now stop paying in $x per month they may close my account without warning – what? So I get upgraded to an account I don’t want and then have to maintain a minimum deposit amount or risk getting it closed? Very annoying.

I think I need to set up a new direct deposit Vision Premier Prepaid Visa account and use that as my main account instead. Firstly there are no charges for when you get that dreaded ‘None Sufficient Funds’ notification and I have to admit that I am terrible when it comes to that, I hate to think how much I have lost in fees to my bank over the years, it’s really crazy, what a waste!
