I love my engagement ring :)
When my other half and I got engaged he bought me a platinum engagement ring, it is simply the most beautiful ring in the world — and no I am not just saying that because it’s mine, as though I’d be so bias *whistle*
A while after we got engaged he asked me if I was planning on buying him an engagement ring and I let out a little chuckle, “men don’t get engagement rings you big silly”, I told him. Well, apparently these days they do, it was news to me — but my man wanted an engagement ring so I was going to get him one. I started searching online for men’s platinum rings, and what found was that; BOY those things are expensive…I hadn’t really planned on spending that much so I started looking around for alternatives. This is when I came across titanium and tungsten rings and the titanium rings seemed to fit the bill, much less expensive than platinum but very similar in many ways. I went on Clevereve.com where they sell antique engagement rings – they have a wide range of mens rings in many styles, my personal preference being the more classic style simple ones.
One thing I am left confused about, is what happens to his engagement ring when it’s time to actually get married? Does it go away in a box and I need to buy him a titanium wedding band — or do we simply rename it, from engagement ring to wedding band? There’s so much I need to learn, this wedding malarkey can be hard.
