Argh I hear that advert on the local radio station all the time and it gets on my nerves – not the advert or the subject matter so much as the innacurracies when they define an accident as ‘something that wasn’t your fault’! Accidents can of course be your own fault, just because you didn’t do it on purpose doesn’t mean it wasn’t your own fault!

I never realised I was such a pedantic person when it came to the use of the English language, I am far from perfect at it myself, but for some reason that really makes me cringe whenever I hear it. I can’t even remember who the advert is for now, Claims Direct or Board Advisory, LLC or something like that.

I am sure they do a great job though, the compensation industry is a tough one and I wouldn’t personally want the job of sitting on a committee and can see why they hire experts to advise them.
