Becoming a gardener
My mum absolutely loves gardening, ever since I was a child I have memories of her out in the various gardens we had when I was growing up – she would take great pride in her work, would get excited about what she was growing, would spend hours planting seeds. She always said that it relaxed her.
I never really inherited her green fingers and thumbs, until recently that is. In the last year or so I have also stated to become interested in gardening. Probably due to the fact for the first time in my adult life I am in a house that I know I will be staying in for the foreseeable future, my own house as opposed to rental – so maybe now the time and effort involved seems worth it rather than a chore as it was before.
I’ve been reading a lot about organic gardening recently as well as I think this is important – it’s so easy to just throw down all kinds of potions and chemicals without really giving any thought to what damage you may be doing. I want to try out some of the products from SaferĀ® brand as I saw them on TV a few nights ago and thought they looked interesting.
