Learning about Camera Tripods and so much more.

Recently I have found myself getting more and more interested in photography. I have always loved looking at photographs but have never really taken notice of the technical aspect of how they were created. When it comes to taking photos myself I am simply a cheap digital camera or cell phone camera snapper – point and shoot, let the camera do the work and appreciate it if the photo simply comes back in focus.

I have been looking in to what sort of equipment I would need to start out in more ‘serious’ photography and even looked up a few lessons and courses I could take in the local area. There seem to be a lot of choices to suit all skill levels so it is definitely something I will consider. I might try and convince my husband to come to a few classes with me though as I always prefer to do this sort of thing with someone I am close to and comfortable with. However even if he doesn’t want to come with me I am going to go ahead and go on my own as I am serious about wanting to learn more.

I have been doing my research as if I am going to get into this even semi seriously it is not a cheap hobby and there is a myriad of options. From what I can tell in the research I have done so far about tripods Benro is one of the best brands and they are affordable too – I am glad that I looked into it as well as I probably would have just bought a cheap tripod, assuming there wouldn’t really be much of a difference in quality when it comes to them but if you directly compare cheaper camera tripods to a Benro one there is quite clearly a huge difference.

Looking for our millions

I am thinking of grabbing a couple of bounty hunter metal detectors in the sale for me and my husband – we started going out on long walks last year and always said it’d be fun to take a metal detector along with us, add a little excitement to proceedings and heck you really never know what you might dig up – it could be the millionaire makings of us ;)

Protecting the pup

We really need to get a pool fence now that we have the puppy and he’ll be able to go into the complex in a few weeks time. At the moment he has not had his injections so can’t go outside any where other than our back yard but it won’t be long before he can go every where – we don’t want him swimming in the pool!

Gone up, like everything else!

I need to pick up some Marcus nursing uniforms for work, does any one know where I can get some cheap? The ones I have been looking at all seem quite expensive and I thought they were a lot cheaper than that the last time I bought some, although having said that it wa s a few years ago now and as we know every thing is going up in price.

Cuff links for Christmas

I think I am going to visit www.cufflinksdepot.com for cuff links for my dad and other half for Christmas, it’s only a week away but I am struggling to think of any thing they would like this year an am starting to panic as Christmas is literally just around the corner now. Cuff links are always a winner with them though so although predictable, I know they will like what I buy :)

Happy birthday Dad

I buy cigars every year for my Dad’s birthday (which happens to be today, happy birthday Dad :) )

It’s been somewhat of a tradition since I was 16 years old – one of his favourite packs of cigars which will last him the whole year, as he doesn’t smoke them a lot, just on special occasions. And a bar of his favourite chocolate – it makes gift buying easy :)

Reading real reviews

I love to wear Make Up. Actually I love every thing about make up, I love reading Cosmetics Tips online and watching Make Up Tutorials on video sites, I also love going to the shops to buy make up and reading reviews about new products.

When it comes to new products I definitely always like to read the opinions of real people who have used the products, rather than ‘experts’ who just tell you how they work.

I have probably saved myself a small fortune in not buying various items I had planned to after reading the reviews of some real women :)

Baby time

This year for the first time I am going to have to look out for good Christmas gifts for baby as my brother had his first child a few months ago making me an Auntie for the first time – I love it so far and my nephew is the cutest little boy I have ever seen, not that I am bias hey ;)

Panda eyes

I was reading a tutorial earlier about how to make your eyelashes grow and I am going to try out some of the methods suggested – they are simple enough to do so if they don’t work it’s no big deal. I would love to have longer eyelashes, like most women, without having to apply endless amounts of dark mascara and often getting the panda eyes look.

New utility knife

I am looking to buy my husband a nice utility knife for his birthday – he’s owned the same one since he was a teenager and half the things on it no longer work or require a lot of muscles to get out – I think it’s about time he got a shiny new one that actually does every thing it’s supposed to do :)
