Laptop Memory Needed

I think we need to get some more laptop memory for my parents, it’s hard to know what the problem is with not being there to actually see it – but from what they are telling me it definitely sounds like a little extra memory would help out and hopefully completely gt rid of their problem. I am sure it’s at times like this they wish I was still living at home :)

There’s so many of them!!

We have got a back room full of industrial computers at the moment, my husband turned up with them few nights ago. He’s agreed to help fix them – argh – there are at least 20 of them and I don’t think he realises what a huge job it’s going to be, it’s going to take him a lot of time and I am sure I am the one that will have to put up with his grumpy mood. I shouldn’t complain though as he’s being paid well and every little helps.

Blind Surprise!

I was really surprised when we walked into our new house last week and realised it already has blinds in every room – we didn’t know this beforehand and we’re worried about having to rush out and buy curtains, so it’s a load off that now we don’t have to. Obviously we will still get them sooner or later but with so many other things to organise and spend our hard earned cash on it’s nice to have a bit of a reprieve.

Lexus Envy

Our friend, Loz, just got a new Lexus GS and to say my husband is green with envy is an understatement. He loves his cars and got a new Golf himself a few years ago that was really expensive, when he bought it he knew that he was going to have to keep it for many many years as you don’t pay that much for a car you are going to change every few years and at the time he was OK with that – I think he’s regretting it now that he has Lexus envy though ;)

I am not that into cars, I like to look at them and can appreciate a good one, but I don’t go all goo-ga over them like a lot of guys do – but even I can see how amazing the Lexus GS is and am suffering a little car envy myself.

Our friend got his in silver though and we’d definitely want one in black if we got one, both of us prefer black cars and always have done, they just look more shiny and sleek. You can actually get used ones relatively cheap so maybe it is something we would consider, but certainly not just yet as we have just moved home and money is all tied up.

Cruise News

Ever since looking into cruise info for my aunt a few weeks ago I have been wanting to go on one myself – the problem is my husband would not come with me as he doesn’t like the idea of being stuck out to sea for days at a time, he’s a bit claustrophobic I guess.

So if I want to go, I will be going alone or with a friend or something which is definitely not ideal.

I have found an interesting cruise blog that I have been following, they have loads of information about cruises, offers, prices and facts – so at least if I do end up deciding to go for it I will have the best cruise news available to me :)

Get up to date gold prices

If you need to keep up to date on Gold prices then you need to have Goldline.com bookmarked, this is the site I have been using for years and the handy chart they have is updated very often so you can rely on the information they display – but if you want to double check just to be certain they also have a contact phone number and email address so you can talk to them directly, there aren’t many free services that offer that sort of support. I also love the wealth of information on the site that covers everything on what to look out for when buying and selling gold and silver and how best to invest it.

Looking at the chart from the last 30 days I was surprised to see just how much it’s value has increased recently – here’s to hoping it continues that way :)

Search for Coupons!

Rule number one when shopping online is to always check for coupons before making any purchase. Rule number two is to check for cashback offers and rule number three is to use a price comparison site.

It’s amazing how much money you can save on most things, I can’t remember the last time I paid RRP on anything I bought.

It amazes me how many people don’t bother to do this and just buy from the first result in google or from a retailer they have used previously. My sister in law orders everything from Amazon regardless of the price!

Cruising along

I came across some great cruise deals the other day on a bargain website I am a member of, there’s some really great offers about at the moment and although I’d never even really considered a cruise before it is starting to look like a good idea. We could easily get a cruises from uk and travel the world for a month or so for our honeymoon rather fly out to Australia as we were hoping to do. It would be a whole lot more convenient as you have your luggage with you the whole time and wouldn’t have to live out of a backpack and stay in Hostels.

There’s loads of cheap cruise holidays available for the period we’d like to travel in so it’s a ‘definite maybe’.

Booking Villa Holidays

I have just been looking to book some villa holidays for 2011. Because we are moving house in a few days and always knew we would be moving at some point in the summer we decided it was sensible not to book a holiday in advance this year as we usually do, but we’ve both really missed our annual few days by the sea and are craving a getaway.

Now that I have convinced my husband to get a passport and travel abroad with me again I hope to be able to go somewhere in Europe, it would be lovely to get back to the UK some day but for a beach holiday it has to be somewhere warmer like Greece or Spain :)

Camera reviews

Did I mention yet that we’ve decided to go to Australia on our wedding anniversary in 2011? We’re going out there for a whole month – we’d like to stay longer actually but with work commitments a month is the best we can hope for.

One thing I need to do is read some camera reviews on various websites and find one that is perfect, the camera I have now is alright but despite the reviews I read for it before getting it saying it’s awesome it really is at best ‘average’.

Obviously I want to have one that’s brilliant for all the snaps I plan to take while we are there. It’s probably the only time in our lifetime we will go so we want the memories to be captured in the best possible way.

Off to read some more camera reviews for me :)
